Simultaneously belonging to and about the world of art, emoji art is our attempt to render the occasionally esoteric art world in a more playful, approachable register. Through our process, we have come to question and explore how emojis function as their own language and mode of representation. In return, we hope to draw attention to the power that the emoji has as a visual mediation: subjectively representing even as it sometimes strives to be taken as universal.

Mapping my spatial awareness in exhibition spaces throughout Vancouver artist-run centres and galleries. This artist book includes semi-transparencies of vectorized hand-drawn linear forms overlaid on top of collected floorpans of exhibition spaces, with commentary about the organizations and my reflections on the artworks viewed in relation to their spatial experience.
